Engine Update — Week of March 23, 2026
What We Learned This Week
This was our first full week of production data flowing through the Adaptive Intelligence Engine, and the early patterns are already clear. Across our monitored clients, FAQ-style content continues to dramatically outperform long-form blog posts for local service businesses. Specifically, structured FAQ pages with clear question-and-answer formatting were cited 2.4x more often than equivalent blog content covering the same topics.
The engine also detected a strong signal around entity clarity. Businesses with consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone) data across their web presence, combined with proper schema markup, saw measurably higher citation rates. This held true across all four platforms we monitor — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity — though the effect was strongest on Perplexity, which appears to weight structured data more heavily in its source selection.
Based on these findings, the engine increased the recommendation weight for FAQ content and schema markup optimization, particularly for clients in dental, legal, and financial services verticals.
Platform Watch
ChatGPT continues to favor content with clear entity relationships and authoritative sourcing. Pages that directly answer common questions rank higher than general informational content.
Claude shows a preference for comprehensive, well-structured content with cited claims. Businesses that publish data-backed insights tend to appear more frequently.
Gemini rewards recency and local relevance. Freshly updated content with clear geographic signals performs well for location-based queries.
Perplexity remains the most source-transparent platform, consistently linking back to original content. It rewards direct attribution and structured data more than any other platform we track.
What This Means For You
If you run a local service business and haven’t added an FAQ page to your website yet, this week’s data makes the case clearly: structured Q&A content is the single highest-impact change you can make for AI visibility right now. Keep answers concise (2-3 sentences), use natural question phrasing, and make sure your business details are consistent everywhere they appear online.
